Here are photos from the StageText presentation given out to members of Wednesday Afternoon Club on 17th July 2019.
StageText is used to provide captioning and live subtitling in theatre and shows and concerts etc. This provides accessibility for deaf and hard-of-hearing people to attend showings. Thank you to StageText for providing the presentation to the local deaf people in Milton Keynes!

Debbie Jakeman from Access Ambassadors came along to talk about her company that provides independent living support, advice and information service and supports a range of accessible social activities for deaf and hard of hearing people in Milton Keynes.

Royal Wedding Special celebration at MKDZ Wednesday Afternoon Club on May 16th 2018.
Everyone had fun playing games, quiz, raffle and enjoyed the buffet and homemade cakes! People have won cash prizes, biscuit tin and chocolate boxes.

MKDZ volunteers Jean & Sara hosted a card-making workshop for Wednesday Afternoon Club at Broughton Pavilion on 21st March. The people made Easter cards and paper flowers and everyone enjoyed it very much!
Health & Well-Being Session
NOTE: There will no meeting at Broughton Pavilion on this date! Please go to Woughton Leisure Centre instead (see details below).
When? Wednesday 18th April – 12pm to 4pm
Where? Woughton Leisure Centre, Rainbow Drive, Leadenhall, Milton Keynes, MK6 5EJ
You are invited to Woughton Leisure Centre for the Health & Well-Being session.
At the centre, the programme will be:
- 12:00 – 12:30pm: Tour of leisure centre
- 12:30 – 2.30pm: Badminton/Table-tennis
- 12:30 – 4.00pm: Gym Session
- 2.30 – 3.30pm: Yoga Session (TBC)
- 3.30 – 4.00pm: Coffee/Tea in Café
An interpreter will be provided and please wear loose clothing and sport shoes/trainers.
Bring your own lunch (eat outside) or buy food from the café.
Any age and fitness, deaf and hard-of-hearing, all are welcome!
