Summary of the walk by Steve Lawrence:

“From The windmill Inn of Badby village we started our walk south to follow the Knightley Way signpost though the edge of Badby Wood down and en route to the historic Fawsley Hall Hotel & Spa which was a seventh century royal manor.

After 7 miles long walked to Farthingstone village, via the golf course, we entered the local pub with the pink painted seats placed in front of building and rested there for lunchtime in the back garden, with variety of ornamental objects including glass bottles that embodies with living colourful plants intricately everywhere in the garden, that looks like a fairytale place where elves occupy there.  Fantastically!

As we strolled continually along for another 5 miles though the deciduous woodland between Farthingstone and Everdon including Everdon Stubbs Park, and on top of Everdon hill we swayed through the cultivated crop with lovely distinctive red poppies mixed as these reminding us the memorial war battlefields of Remembrance. Viewed with some great scenery views over classic Northamptonshire countryside, rolling hills, fields, farmhouses and farm tracks.

We returned to the Windmill Inn in Badby for some lovely drinks to quench our thirsty. We enjoyed the circular walk which is a little less exciting, but overall this is a really enjoyable walk.”

“Trodden along the 12.5 miles route in the persistent showers all day with well visibility of countryside views
but it does not dampen our spirits and in the end, we were soaked through! “
