Please bring your own Easter project to make on the day, and there will be a small prize for the best one! It can be anything, like papercraft, knitting, crochet, beadwork, Easter bonnet or eggs etc.

MK Craft Club – Wednesday 7th November 2018

The next MK Craft Club will be on Wednesday, 7th November, from 11am to 3pm at the United Reformed Church, Newport Pagnell.
 
We will make three lovely Christmas gift boxes and two Christmas cards at £10 per person, to cover room hire and materials. We will have plenty of embellishments for you to choose from.
 
We have 12 available places, so please reserve yours ASAP if you would like to join by either commenting below or by contacting Janet Durbidge or join the MKDZ Craft Club  Facebook group.

MK Deaf Craft Club – Wednesday 5th September 2018

The next MK Deaf Craft Club will be held on Wednesday, 5th September 2018 at the United Reformed Church, High Street, Newport Pagnell, MK16 8AB, from 11am to 3pm.

Please bring a packed lunch and £3 per person to cover materials, tea/coffee and biscuits. Deaf/hard of hearing/BSL learners welcome.

We will make simple lined tote bags out of some lovely curtain fabrics that have been donated to us. Janet have made two as samples, but you can personalise your own bags with buttons, ribbons, beads and motifs.

We will also have the option of knitting blocks for our charity blankets, so please would you kindly bring any completed blocks.

Please bring a sewing machine if you have one, neutral coloured thread, scissors, needles, pins and a ruler.

MKDZ Wednesday Afternoon Club – Hobbies Show & Tell – 18th July

Wednesday Afternoon Club Hobbies Show & Tell!
Wednesday 18th July – 12pm – 4pm

Come along to our Wednesday Afternoon Club and show and tell everyone your interesting hobbies and see what other hobbies everyone else is doing!

Hobbies can be things like:

  • Remote control cars / boats / planes / drones
  • Puzzles such as Jigsaws, Rubiks, blocks, crosswords, boardgames
  • Woodwork / Metalwork / Stonemasonry / Pottery
  • Art / Crafts / Knitting / Lacework / Origami / Doll making
  • Collections such as vintage toys, comic books, games, memorabilia

Bring your own lunch. Drinks will be provided.

Everybody is welcome!

NOTE: This will be our last craft day before we close for the summer holidays, and re-open in September.

So, this will be a “bring your own project” day. Anything that you want to show us, or you could bring an unfinished project from past craft days.

Please bring a packed lunch and £3 per person to cover materials, tea/coffee and biscuits. Deaf/hard of hearing/BSL learners welcome.

We will start a new project and learn how to make different types of bunting. However, you are welcome to continue knitting blocks for our charity blanket, if you prefer.

You may bring your own choice of materials for the bunting, or use up our stock, which may not be to your taste.
